REGISTRATION
Age & Residence Requirements
Many adult education classes are appropriate for teens, and some courses are specifically designed to be enjoyed by parents participating with their children. If you have questions about age requirements for a specific class, call (502) 485-3400.  You are not required to be a resident of Jefferson County to attend classes.  Many of our students come from surrounding counties and Indiana.

Cancellations & Classes not in Session
Some classes require a minimum number of students. In the case of insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted and given an opportunity to transfer to another center, transfer to another class, or receive a refund. Class maximums vary according to the nature of the class.  After the registration deadline has passed, Adult Education reserves the right to cancel any class that does not have sufficient enrollment to cover costs. All classes that have sufficient registrations by the deadline date will continue to take enrollments up to the first day of the class.

Adult Education classes will not meet when Jefferson County Public Schools are closed.  This includes holidays, staff development days, snow days, etc.

Finding the Classroom
Room assignments are posted at each night center outside the main office. Jaeger classes are posted on the main entrance and outside rooms 114 and 114A.

Refunds
No refunds are given after the first week of classes without approval of the Night Center Manager. Contact the Night Manager of the center where you are enrolled for refund information. If the Adult Education Office cancels the class, you will be contacted and given the choice of enrolling in another class or receiving a refund.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed!  We are proud of the quality of our classes and welcome your comments. Discuss any concerns you may have with the instructor or the manager. If we cannot resolve the situation to your satisfaction, we will give you a full refund. You have nothing to lose and knowledge to gain!

Registration Deadlines
Classes beginning the week of June 4 - Deadline: May 29 at 5 p.m.
Classes beginning the week of July 9 - Deadline:  July 2 at 5 p.m.

Textbook
Many adult education classes use textbooks to enhance the learning experience. Textbooks are available the first night of class at the Night Centers.  Other books can be purchased locally or online. Some books are required and others are optional.  Students do have the option of checking with their instructor the first night of class to see if the text is required.  There is a "no refund" policy on books purchased from the Lifelong Learning Program.

ONLINE COURSES
