Instructor:  Rick Ward

Rick studied photography at the University of Louisville and spent many years as a professional photographer.  With more than 30 years of experience in photography and the past 16 years in the computer field, he felt that digital photography and digital videography were a natural fit for him.  As far as teaching in the Lifelong Learning program is concerned, he enjoys meeting new people and helping them to gain a new skill.  While passing along his experience and making the subject understandable to his students, he also “learns new things with each session.”  He admires Walt Disney, “one of the best storytellers of all time who knew how to make learning new things fun.”  He is especially proud of two former students who have gone on to become professional photographers.
